The Padworth Courtyard Holiday Inn Hotel is situated on the south side of the A4, four miles west of junction 12 of the M4/A4.  Ample parking is available.

 

Viewing

On the morning of the sale from 9.00am until 11.45am.  Otherwise by appointment.

Lots marked # are internet viewing only and will not be available in the auction room for viewing or collection.

 

Auction Duration

Lots will be sold in numerical order (unless otherwise stated) at a likely rate of between 80 and 150 lots per hour.

 

Estimates

This is a guide as to what price the lot may attain based on market conditions and previous results.

Catalogues

Illustrated catalogues are published in paper format and on the internet three weeks prior to the auction.

 

Imperfections

The condition of pieces (other than where a number are included in the same lot) is mentioned in this catalogue and is intended as a guide to assist potential Purchasers. It remains the responsibility of the Purchaser to satisfy themselves as to the condition of each piece in any lot.

 

Registration

Those attending the auction should obtain a bidding number prior to viewing from the Registration Clerks. New clients must produce acceptable identification.

 

Absentee Bidding

Commission Bids may be submitted by post or email to the Auctioneer who will execute such bids without obligation.  At the sole discretion of the Auctioneer bidding may also be undertaken by telephone.  Live internet bidding may be undertaken at either www.the-saleroom.com or www.invaluable.com.

Successful absentee bidders will be notified of their purchase(s) by telephone, email or post.

 

Buyers Premium

20.00% (including value added tax) of the hammer price.

 

Live Internet Bidding Surcharge

5.00% (including value added tax) of the hammer price.

 

Value Added Tax

Very occasionally a lot might additionally attract VAT on the hammer price at either 20.00% (if it is being sold by a person registered for VAT) or 5.00% (if it has been imported from outside the EU). In such case this will be noted in the catalogue.

 

Payment

Accounts may be settled by cash (maximum equivalent of 10,000 Euros), debit card (certain debit cards will incur a surcharge of 3.00%), bank transfer (7 surcharge on amounts sent from outside the UK) or Sterling cheque. (Credit cards are not accepted).

 

Collection and Shipping

Lots may be paid for and collected during the auction. 

The Auctioneer may pack and send small consignments and whilst every effort will be made to ensure items are properly packed and, where possible, insurance cover arranged by the service provider, no responsibility can be accepted by the Auctioneer or his agents for any loss or damage howsoever arising. Safe transit of purchases by hand, post, courier or shipper is at the sole risk of the Purchaser.
Larger shipments will be passed to Alban Shipping (www.albanshipping.co.uk) who will liaise directly with clients.

Items may also be collected, by prior arrangement, from a venue in Chelsea, London.
