George III: an attractive pearlware loving cup, the lightly potted body on a spreading foot, painted in blue on both sides 'God Save the King' within scrolling cartouches, the rim with cross hatch banding, circa 1789, 130mm, small restored chip to foot * In 1789 the King's health declined and hasty arrangements were made for the transfer of sovereign power.
