Catalogues: Printed Illustrated catalogues and digital listings on the internet are published at least three weeks prior to the auction. See: www.historicalandcollectable.com where every lot is illustrated and many with additional images.

Imperfections: The condition of pieces (other than lots of multiple pieces) is mentioned in the catalogue and is intended as a guide to assist potential Purchasers. Use of the word good in a lot description implies the item is in good original condition. It remains the responsibility of the Bidders to satisfy themselves as to the condition of each piece in any lot.

Absentee Bidding:

  • Commission bids may be submitted by email to the Auctioneer prior to the auction who will execute such bids without obligation.

  • Live internet bidding via www.the-saleroom.com (no additional fees).

Successful absentee bidders will be notified of any purchase by telephone or email.

Live Internet Bidding:
www.the-saleroom.com (no additional fees).

Value Added Tax: Very occasionally a lot might additionally attract VAT on the hammer price at either 20.00% (if it is being sold by a person registered for VAT) or 5.00% (if it has been imported from outside the EU). In such case this will be noted in the catalogue.

Artist Resale Right: Payable in addition to the hammer price as noted in the auction catalogue.
